Colonized not too long after the hyper gate accident, being the closest planet to the Sun, this planet doesn't have much in the way of inhabitants largely due to the constant heat.
Again, not too many inhabitants largely because of its closeness to the sun and harsh climates and desert terrain. Meteor bombardments aren't too common but still happen occasionally.
Due to the gate accident, the Earth's moon was destroyed and took out most of its inhabitants. Most of the remaining inhabitants live underground largely due to the constant rock showers.
